I have no fashion sense. Genuinely, none. I'm a developer — I spend my time solving problems, building things, shipping code. What to wear has never been my strong suit, and for a long time I just accepted that. But I kept wishing there was something that could just tell me, honestly, whether an outfit worked or not.
Not a friend being polite. Not a shopping algorithm pushing products. Just a straightforward, honest opinion — the way a knowledgeable friend would give it if they could see what you were wearing.
The concept came from a fairy tale. In Snow White, the magic mirror is the only character that always tells the truth. It doesn't flatter. It doesn't sugarcoat. It just answers the question directly. I thought: that's exactly what I want when I'm standing in front of my wardrobe not knowing if this outfit works.
So I built it. Magic Mirror analyzes your outfit using AI — color coordination, silhouette, fit, proportion — and gives you a score out of 10 plus specific, plain-language feedback. No fashion jargon. No upselling. Just an honest answer to the question: does this work?

I'm a developer based in Oulu, Finland. I build things that are new, useful, and that solve a real problem. Magic Mirror is privacy-first by principle, not as a marketing claim — your photos are analyzed in memory and never stored on any server. We're GDPR compliant because we're built in the EU and we take that seriously. The AI is powered by Claude (by Anthropic), and I'm transparent about that.
